We got chosen by our books!

We eagerly met for the very first time and connected very briefly to our guides. After the first session itself we were told by Vani, our 'guide'to get a book to record all the messages, visuals and any other knowledge that we received. We were also told to paste a sacred picture of our choice on the cover of the book. This task so simple and small in itself had such interesting incidents to narrate and reflect back on.Here's what we experienced:

For Vani,it was a lovely mauve notebook with floating flowers on the cover. The picture that she got was one of the goddess Saraswati,Durga from the Durga prayers and Lalita from the Lalita sahasranaam books that she had distributed to all in the group. The message which she received was the Saraswati mantra, aim and the Om saraswatyai namah. So that was a powerful start in itself.
Manijeh:Looked around for a while and then was attracted to a light purple cover with some waves in yellow and green that appealed to her.Her guides told her what to write on the first page and she believes that we have started the voyages through our own resources.
Khushmin had this lovely book with a photo of goddess Lakshmi on it which somehow she could
not use no matter how many times she attempted to do so.She came to realise that it was meant for a special purpose. However, when a book had to be brought, she at once thought of this book and connected to it.She felt this was the moment she was waiting for.She had not yet thought about the photo but when Vani distributed the photos in class, she felt this was the best thing she could paste on the cover. As a habit she has placed an Om and a swastik on the sides as she connects to both as universal blessings and has a Trishul on the last page for protection.
Gayatri's book literally walked upto her.The cover of her book has the image of a palm and a title which reads 'secrets from your hands.'She had picked up the same book at a bookstore
and kept it back since she not was not too sure about it and hoped to pick up something better later. She then asked a friend to get her a book from another store and lo and behold the same book not only from another bookstore but from a completely different locality landed in her lap.The connection with the book was already made the very first time, only Gayatri had to recognise it.She put an Om and a sign ( star like ) in a square.
When Veena picked up the book,it was the sun, moon and stars on the cover that attracted her
to the book. She likes Working with energy received from the cosmos. It has always interested
her and so she felt some connection with those forms. She got a message to write Om on the
first page and then a mantra of her ishtadevata which would stand for a symbol of protection
that appealed to her.
Ragini another member of our group, had already got a message from her guides before our
sessions had even commenced that she was going to do auto writing & she told them that she
would not be doing it alone. The book had been presented to her when she had gone to
Vaishnodevi some time ago for a pilgrimage. The book that chose her,has a picture of Lord
Ram, his wife Goddess Sita & his brother Laxman, in a scene from the Ramayan,in which
Goddess Sita points out to Lord Ram the golden deer she wants him to get for her. The beauty
of the cover & all the articles in the book of the leaders of all the religions of the world, made her keep the book for something special.2 days prior to the commencement of our sessions the book came into her hands once again making her wonder what would she be using it for. Little did she know that that had already been decided. She put the Trishul on all 4 sides of the book as a protection symbol.By the message that she got, she has putan Om on both sides with ‘‘ JAI MATA DI’’ written in the middle of the Oms. She pasted Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of learning on the front page of her book. She also keeps her favourite picture of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati & Lord Ganesh.
Niranjan had no clue of the book that he was going to buy. He landed in a shop that he had never visited before and straight went to a bookshelf. He saw the book and picked up two.The hard cover of the book is handmade and has embossed motifs on it.The one with the white cover, has been kept for himself as it symbolises peace for him. The pink one he chose for Tara which symbolises love.He had not decided on the sticker for the cover when Vani gave him the sticker. That was promptly stuck on the cover. He got another Saraswati sticker from Vani which has been stuck on the back page.He has come to realise that more such photos now keep coming which he places inside the book.He has a large om on the front cover symbolising a beginning and the bottom right hand corner swastik makes it more complete. He felt the need to write his name and the date as well.
Tara wanted a hand made paper book but was just not having the time to go and get one for
herself. However, unasked the book came to her with the kind of colour she would have liked
and with it's hand- made cover.Simple in itself. She had forgotten to get the sticker but guess the place was reserved for Vani's sticker. So Goddess Saraswati on the lotus and another tiny one are on the cover of her book.A tiny sarswati mantra sticker is stuck on top as well. She got another laminated sticker from Manijeh that she has placed on the first page of her book. She got the message to write first two words of a prayer and that's exactly what she has written.
Bhavisha had already been using a book to write points from 'The Book of Secrets'by Osho. She
felt the need to continue writing in the same book and she continues to do so.She felt that a diya had to be drawn on the first page and so that's where her diya is.

All of us have our own role to play and all of us have something to impart. You will find the first messages that we received for ourselves, others in the group and for the universe in general in our next post. Yes we believe in starting with ourselves. If we are fine, then eveything can be fine. Work begins at home you see.
